Keynote Lecture "New Leadership for New Digital Education Scenarios"

10. 3. 2025.

On the second day of the SRCE DEI 2025 conference, Ph. D. Albert Sangrà from the Open University of Catalonia (UOC) will deliver a keynote lecture titled "New Leadership for New Digital Education Scenarios."

In his lecture, Ph. D. Sangrà will analyze the imminent challenges that higher education institutions will have to face in the near future and will address the question of whether we expect different management skills from higher education leaders.

Based on the Digital Education Leadership Literacies for Higher Education (DELLHE) framework, we can analyze leadership and governance approaches while leaving behind outdated notions of heroic and charismatic leadership styles. Instead, the focus should be on the mindset and actions of today's leaders, both from an individual and collective perspective.

The implementation of digital education and the digital transformation process certainly depend on the leaders who guide and drive such initiatives. It is, therefore, crucial to recognize the impact they have on the higher education system and society as a whole.

Who are the leaders of today, how can they shape higher education in the 21st century, and how do they convey their vision to others through strategies and concrete actions? Find out at the SRCE DEI 2025 conference.
