Experts from SRCE, responsible for developing and maintaining the Croatian Research Information System (CroRIS), actively participated in the euroCRIS Strategic Membership Meeting 2024 held in Paris from November 26 to 28, 2024.

Ph.D. Ognjen Orel, Assistant Director of SRCE, participated in a panel discussion dedicated to national datasets on research equipment. Data on research equipment became part of CroRIS following the transfer of the entire dataset from the Šestar database, which was developed at the Ruđer Bošković Institute back in 2006.

At the time of the data transfer in 2022, the equipment database consisted of about 3,100 pieces of equipment. Currently, CroRIS contains over 5,800 pieces of equipment.

The meeting also addressed the role of CRIS systems in processes related to quality assurance in higher education. Neven Balenović from SRCE presented a study conducted in collaboration with colleagues from the Ruđer Bošković Institute. The presentation covered recent updates in CroRIS regarding the preparation and verification of data for higher education reaccreditation processes. After validation, these data are transferred from CroRIS to the new Information System for Indicators and Quality (ISPiK), which SRCE has developed and maintains. ISPiK has replaced the previous Mozvag system in preparing for reaccreditations.

CroRIS is Croatia's national research information system, consolidating data on research activities in the country. It is also a key source of information for procedures in higher education and science. Additionally, it includes official records from the Ministry of Science and Education concerning science and higher education.
