What does this service include?
The Videoconferencing platform service is a simple system for holding online meetings in a web browser. The system is based on the open-source software eduMeet (edumeet.org) developed by the GEANT community.
Who is the service intended for?
The service is used by researchers and teachers from the science field and the higher education system, institutions from the science field and the higher education system and other legal entities in accordance with the rules of use (PDF, 621 KB).
How to become a user?
Access to the Videoconferencing platform service is available directly via a link to the eduMeet system. When signing in with the AAI@EduHr identity, employees from publicly funded institutions from the science field and the higher education system are assigned the role of moderator according to the Ministry of Education and Culture classification.

eduMeet is an open-source software developed by the GEANT community. It is based on real time communication in a web browser (WebRTC - Web Real-Time Communication standard), therefore its main advantage is that it does not require any additional software installation.
The eduMeet system is intended primarily for holding online meetings with a smaller number of participants (up to 50) when recording is not required.
The basic system features are:
- sound and image transmission (using microphone and camera)
- screen sharing
- public chat between participants
- file sharing
Please note:
Entering the eduMeet virtual room is possible directly via the virtual room link. The role of moderator can be obtained by employees from publicly funded institutions from the science field and higher education system according to the classification of the Ministry of Science and Education after applying via an electronic identity from the AAI@EduHr system.
Users receive a link to the virtual room from the moderator of the room, and can join after logging in with an electronic identity as an authenticated user or guest without prior registration.
For the eduMeet system, it is not necessary to fill out an application in advance.
