As a partner of the European Digital Innovation Hub CROBOHUB++, SRCE is actively participating in this year’s AI2Future conference, held on October 17 and 18, 2024, in Zagreb. On October 17, SRCE participated as an EDIH CROBOHUB++ partner, with Emir Imamagić, Head of the Advanced Computing Department at SRCE, leading a workshop titled "Next-Gen Compute and Cloud Services for SMEs." The workshop was aimed at entrepreneurs and AI users, emphasizing the advantages and practical applications of advanced computing in business. Free testing options for HPC services (supercomputers) were also presented, allowing businesses to explore HPC capabilities before committing to a project or long-term use of national and European supercomputers.
Representatives from SRCE were present at the EDIH CROBOHUB++ booth, offering guidance to entrepreneurs on digital transformation. In the afternoon, Jadranka Lovrić from FER and Kristijan Mrkalj from SRCE presented the full range of support services for entrepreneurs in a session titled "Unlocking Entrepreneurial Potential in the Digital Age."
On the final day of the conference, October 18, SRCE participates as the coordinator of the Croatian Competence Center for HPC and partner in the EuroCC 2 project. Nenad Mijić will lead a workshop titled "High Performance Computing: Empowering AI," showcasing performance measurements to demonstrate the concrete benefits of using HPC systems for AI workloads. Available HPC systems at SRCE and across Europe (EuroHPC JU) will be detailed, along with instructions on their usage.
Through these activities, SRCE, EDIH CROBOHUB++, and the Croatian Competence Center for HPC aim to bring advanced computing technologies closer to small and medium-sized enterprises, accelerating their digital transformation.
The next workshop, "HPC Services for Entrepreneurs," will take place on November 12 at SRCE as part of the Croatian Competence Center for HPC Days 2024. Registration is open, and attendance is free, but space is limited, so early registration is required.
