SRCE, as the coordinator of the Croatian Competence Center for HPC, is participating in the European Big Data Value Forum (EBDVF), held in Budapest from October 2 to 4, 2024.
In collaboration with National Competence Centers (NCC) from Poland, the Netherlands, and Slovenia, SRCE presented how NCCs assist industry, academia, and public administration in implementing high-performance computing (HPC) technologies. This year, special emphasis was placed on supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), featuring a successful collaboration story between the Croatian Competence Center for HPC and the Croatian company Mikrotvornica in optimizing the manufacturing process using HPC.
The European Big Data Value Forum (EBDVF) is the flagship event of the Big Data Value Association (BDVA), bringing together the European community for data-driven research and innovation, and artificial intelligence to exchange knowledge, collaborate, and celebrate achievements.
This year’s forum takes place in Budapest, featuring a rich three-day program along with social events to facilitate networking among stakeholders from various fields and countries.
EBDVF gathers experts from industry, researchers, and policymakers from across Europe and beyond, aiming to advance policy development as well as industrial and research activities in the fields of data and artificial intelligence. The program covers the community’s key topics, including sessions and workshops discussing the future of big data and data spaces, the importance of trustworthy AI, and the role of high-performance computing as a key driver of digital transformation.
